Welcome to our Substack community! I wear multiple hats: educator, writer, podcaster, and a continuous researcher on public policy. My work impacts individuals, organizations, and communities across the globe, helping them navigate through crises and ensuring their resilience in the face of adversity.
I host several informative platforms, including The EMN Newsletter Podcast and The Leader's Cafe', and co-host of Disaster Politics. As the Editor in Chief of The Emergency Management Network newsletter, our insights reach a broad audience of professionals and enthusiasts alike, helping them stay informed on the latest developments and trends in emergency management.
My written contributions are also extensive, including my role as a contributing author in the seminal book "Campus Crisis Management, a Comprehensive Guide for Practitioners" and many white papers and studies.
I am a lifelong learner and passionate about researching and writing on critical topics such as emergency management, crisis leadership, business continuity, and community resilience.
Moreover, as the President of the International Association of Emergency Managers Region 9, I actively shape public policy around emergency management. I hope my leadership and extensive expertise help shape a safer, more prepared world.
